Chapter 10
After meeting the parents, and deciding I would never like his mother ever, I gave him the option of leaving the relationship without any further complications. He decided to stay. He said he loved me and his mother would have to learn to respect me. She never did and still doesn’t. He decided to build us a house close to his parents on land. This was after we had dated for almost a year and secretly got married. And his mother was furious. We didn’t have a wedding. We went through the courthouse. We had ups and downs before this. He had some jealousy issues but nothing huge. But that should have been a sign. I worked with a couple guys. He accused me of sleeping with all of them. I guess it was because of how we met. He was never going to let it go. He just assumed I was a horrible person and I would cheat because of the way we met.
After moving into the new house, his mother busted into my house while I was in the laundry room and got in my face. What she didn’t expect was just because I was married to her son, didn’t mean I was going to bend over and take it up the ass by some old hag. I told her she better get out of my house before I took her out by her hair and made her eat concrete. Luckily for me, my relationship was still new and my husband was still on my side. So he took her out of our house. But she called his ex and decided to start drama. Which caused a fight between us.
My daughter was turning 1 and we were heading to her birthday party. I was driving and her and my son were in the back. He was 6 and she was now 1. With the one who was suppose to love me in the passenger seat yelling at me left and right. We were getting ready to get onto the highway when he started punching me non stop in the head and grabbing the steering wheel trying to wreck us. Kids were crying in the back and I started swinging back to protect myself. Luckily my windows were not tinted and the vehicle behind me witnessed everything and called the police while following me. I pulled over while he was still hitting me. I put it in park as he was yanking me around in the drivers seat. The SUV behind us had a lady and her teen daughter in it and was trying to get him to stop by honking the horn and screaming that they called the police.
He ran. He opened the passenger door and ran. Before the police arrived, he had already ran to a nearby place and called for his parents to pick him up. My head was bleeding and had a giant lump on it. A black eye and swollen cheek. The ambulance checked me out for a while and the police took my statement. Finally the police picked him up. He spent one night in jail and had to do anger management classes. He paid a small fine as well. That was it. I pressed charges and he got nothing. Because we were married. That’s when he realized he could get away with so much. That’s when my nightmares began all over again…..
